Current Research Interests:
My lab studies the evolutionary ecology of host-parasite relationships. Specifically, we are interested in whether and how animal hosts defend themselves against parasites, especially in response to environmental change.

Current Research Projects:
1) Effect of urbanization on bird-parasite interactions in the Galapagos.
2) The genetic, behavioral, and physiological basis of bird defenses against parasites in a Minnesota box-nesting bird system.
3) Effect of hibernation on the immune system and microbiota of wood frogs in Connecticut.
4) Determining factors that drive spatial and temporal variation of nest parasite species distribution in the US.
