Empowering students' academic and personal self-growth

The Promoting Academically Successful Students (PASS) Program is supported by the Minority Advancement Program administered by the Connecticut Office of Higher Education. PASS supports students by helping them build new academic strategies and develop a growth mindset to achieve success in college and beyond.


 

The PASS Program includes:

  • Ongoing, weekly support from an Academic Success Advisor
  • A personalized success plan to promote a return to good standing and long-term success at UConn
  • Free tutoring services for a variety of courses 
  • Access to workshops and programs designed to support students’ academic, professional, and personal development and wellbeing
  • The opportunity to enroll in a specially designed one-credit course, UNIV 1820: Mindset for Personal Growth
  • An invitation to the annual Growing Resilience and Inspiring Transformation (G.R.I.T.) Retreat

Eligibility

To be eligible for the PASS Program, students must:

  • Identify as a student of color, and
  • Be on academic warning, probation, or subject to dismissal
