Stacey Hanlon
Assistant Professor, CLAS
Molecular and Cell Biology
Current Research Interests:
Chromosome dynamics (segregation, movements, pairing, etc.), meiosis, meiotic drive, B chromosomes, Drosophila, centromeres, repetitive elements, genetics, cytology.
Current Research Projects:
The majority of the research projects currently available in the Hanlon Lab center around understanding how chromosomes move, form, and evolve. We do this in the model organism Drosophila melanogaster, the fruit fly, using classical genetic techniques combined with modern cytological methods.
