- Promise Scholars have access to one-on-one academic, financial aid, career, and personal counseling and advisement.
- CAP uses the Four Pillars of Development Counseling Model which is a holistic approach to counseling and advising. By fostering transformation in the four key areas of Personal Growth, Academic Development, Professional Development, and Personal Health and Well-being, CAP helps Promise Scholars become self-empowered to achieve at UConn and beyond.

Tutoring

Promise Scholars have full access to free on-on-one and small group tutoring during the academic year. Tutoring is available in a variety of subjects. Tutoring sessions are available primarily through walk-ins; scheduled appointments are offered per student’s request.

Promise Scholars First Year Experience (FYE)

CAP has designated one of its FYE courses to be exclusively available for Promise Scholars. The course provides first-year UConn students with the tools to help them develop college study skills, gain self-awareness, navigate college life, and grow as campus and global citizens in a Promise Scholars community.
